The auction will take place in the family center of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren. Your donations to make this auction a success would be greatly appreciated. Themed baskets, antiques, collectibles, handmade items or services, old coins or currency, and gift cards are but a few ideas. Use your own imagination to provide something that you think would sell for $25.00 or more. Please call the church office at (717) 597-3553 to make arrangements to drop off your item(s). Any monies raised in excess of the project expenses will go toward ongoing support of the Shenbergers.
Dean and Dannielle Shenberger were married on May 5, 2012. Dean was in motorcycle accident on June 15, 2012. He had a cracked skull, a traumatic brain injury, and numerous broken bones. Dean was flown to York, PA and was not expected to live.
Dean miraculously survived but now has extensive handicaps as a result of the traumatic brain injury. Dean is now totally blind, paralyzed on the left side, and needs help with all aspects of daily life.
Dannielle has a strong faith and continues praying that more healing will come. Meanwhile, Dean and Dannielle are making do with a house that is too cramped to meet their needs. Their house has no handicapped accessible bathroom or place for one. Additional living space is needed for the medical equipment required for Dean’s care and rehabilitation. Their insurance policy only covered catastrophic medical fees, not specialized physical therapy or medical equipment. Obviously, medical insurance does not cover the renovations needed to facilitate Dean’s long-term care.
Concerned individuals, as well as churches, organizations, and businesses are coming together to help fund and build an addition on Dean and Dannielle’s home. Here are two opportunities for YOU to help provide funding for this project.
