Film Screening – A Place at the Table and Local Hunger, Nutrition, and Poverty Panel At Allen Auditorium At Wilson College. We’ll watch a powerful, award-winning documentary about hunger and nutrition at the national level, and then listen to and question a panel of those working in Franklin County in agriculture, healthcare, and anti-poverty initiatives… ASK YOURSELF: What is happening in Franklin County to address hunger and poverty? What can I do to help? What can we ALL do to make things work better? All are invited to attend this community event. Light refreshment will be provided. Sponsored by Wilson College, SCCAP and BOPIC. “Creatively using the arts to generate dialogue around issues of concern in our community that lead to grassroots solutions for purposeful change.”
This is an informational meeting on costs, tools, equipment and resources for anyone who thinks they may be interested in becoming a beekeeper. Attendees will be able to pre register for our Franklin County Beekeeping short course held in March 2015.
