“Speak Out for Our Community’s Health”

To kick off Nurses and Hospital Workers Week, frontline Chambersburg staff, along with their families and supporters, will hold a “Speak Out for Our Community’s Health.” Chambersburg workers are struggling with a crisis of severe understaffing, turnover and burnout, which has been caused by uncompetitive pay, insufficient benefits and issues around workplace safety. They say that Chambersburg historically was a premier healthcare provider in the region, and they want to ensure that corporate owner WellSpan Health is investing in their hospital so they can lead with the highest standards for quality care and good jobs for their local community.

We welcome you to join us in learning about the burnout, understaffing, and turnover happening in the medical community from Chambersburg Hospital Caregivers and community members.
