Children should be accompanied by an adult.\nThose unable to walk the route are welcome to meet at the Veterans Memorial for the brief remembrance program. \n\n\nWebsite\nFacebook \n\n\n\n\n\nDescription\n2\,071 Steps of Remembrance\nOne Community Walking Together \nJoin the Mayor Ben Thomas\, Jr.\, neighbors\, veterans\, first responders\, families\, churches\, and community organizations for a solemn walk of remembrance\, unity\, and service. \nWe walk to honor and memorialize the live lost on 9/11/2001. Remember the civilians\, military personnel\, firefighters\, EMS providers\, and police officers who lost their lives that day and for those who have suffered and since passed from the post health conditions during recovery efforts. \nThose unable to walk the route are welcome to meet at the Veterans Memorial for the brief remembrance program. \nThe community is invited to display the American flag\, perform an act of kindness\, and help Greencastle honor the spirit of unity that followed 9/11.
