SUMMARY:Wee Wonders Series for Preschoolers Fall 2026
DESCRIPTION:This fall we are offering a series of five new Wee Wonders sessions—all five Thursdays in October. \nEach session is 75 minutes of educational FUN for our youngest naturalists!\nThursdays\, October 1st\, 8th\, 15th\, 22nd\, and 29th from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro\, Pa.\nClick here to see series flyer. \nTaught by educators from Buttonwood Nature Center\, age-appropriate program activities make learning fun\, and include exploring the outdoors\, hikes\, theme-related and nature stories\, crafts\, rhymes\, songs\, finger plays\, nature games\, and puppets.\nActivities celebrate the season.\nChildren must be accompanied by an adult.\nFor kids ages 2.5 years through 5.\nPre-registration for full series required.\nThe fee for all five sessions is $40 per child for Buttonwood members; $45 for the general public\, per child. \nLimited to 15 children.\nFor information on becoming a member\, click here.

Lindsey du Toit\, chair of the Department of Plant Pathology at Washington State University\, will discuss how a nationwide team of scientists identified key pathogens\, documented copper-tolerant strains\, and developed practical strategies to reduce losses from bacterial bulb rots. Participants will gain insight into how these findings apply to growers\, gardeners\, and others interested in plant disease management\, with relevance extending to additional bacterial plant diseases.  This webinar is offered at no cost.
