The Franklin County Historical Society presents the documentary film, “Josiah Henson”, followed by a Q&A with historian Richard Kline. The event will take place on Saturday, May 26 from 1:00-3:00pm at The Old Jail, 175 East King Street, Chambersburg. This event is free and open to the public. Call 304-261-4516 for information. Stories Behind the Stones – Walking Tour of Cedar Grove Cemetery – June 1, 2018 @ Franklin County Historical Society - The Old Jail

Join the Franklin County Historical Society for a walking tour of Cedar Grove Cemetery. Living history actors will be stationed throughout the cemetery, portraying interesting people from the past. Meet at the Old Jail, 175 East King Street, Chambersburg. We will be walking to the cemetery on Franklin Street.

Spots must be paid for and reserved ahead of time, as there is a 15 person limit for each group. No children under 6. 6-12 $5, adults $10. No pets, alcohol, or smoking please. You must be comfortable walking on the sidewalk and uneven ground on cemetery paths.

Tour times are as follows:
June 1st and 2nd at
6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30

Stop by the Old Jail TUESDAY-FRIDAY 10AM-4PM or call 717-264-1667 MONDAY-FRIDAY 10AM-4PM to pay for and reserve your slot. No reservations can be taken on Saturday, as office staff is not in.
