Gettysburg Community Concert Association (GCCA) opens its 2025–26 season with a performance by Canadian pianist Philip Thomson at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Best known for his recordings of Liszt, Thomson has toured throughout Europe and the United States and has been broadcast on radio and TV. He will also present a student outreach program at Gettysburg High School at 9 am on Wednesday, October 1.
The concert will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 109 York Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Admission is $20 at the door, but free for GCCA members, college students with an ID, and anyone under 19 (under 13 with an adult). Limited free parking is available at St. James, with additional free parking at the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church’s parking lot off High Street.
Annual membership subscriptions for the 2025–26 season are $60. Membership includes free admission to GCCA concerts in Gettysburg as well as additional shows in Waynesboro (
waynesboropaconcerts.com) and Hagerstown (
hagerstowncommunityconcerts.org) through reciprocal concert association agreements. Music genres at partner concerts include classical, country, bluegrass, western, pop, rock, and folk.
