The newly formed (March 8, 2023 at 12:48 p.m.) Black Storytellers of Western Maryland (BSOWM) will have their first Meet & Greet and membership meeting on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Are you interested in preserving the oral tradition of Black Storytelling? You are invited to Join the Local Founders: Patricia Smart, Lola Mosby and Janice Kelsh, as we carry on with the slogan: “Sowing the Seeds of our Black Storytelling Oral Tradition from Western Maryland and sharing it with the world.”

We have rebranded Fun(d) Fest to be an even more family centered event! This year we are SO excited to have Bounce Houses, Chicken BBQ by CM Pig Out Catering, exciting activities for the kids (including bringing back last year’s Candy Drop provided by Shafer Equipment Company!!!), live music for the adults, summer treats, and more!!!!
