White Christmas Movie & Holiday Social @ The Capitol Theatre
Dec 23 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

White Christmas Movie & Holiday Social

It’s become a Capitol Theatre tradition to show this wonderful, tune-filled, family Christmas movie featuring Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera Ellen, over the past several years. For many, this 1954 nostalgic and classic Christmas movie where a successful song-and dance team become romantically involved with a sister act. They team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general. Patrons can stay after the 3:00pm showing or come before the 6:30pm showing for social mingling, festive holiday treats, adult beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Encourage Online Women's Conference

The Connection in Waynesboro, PA is partnering with Girlfriends Talking Podcast to host their first online women’s conference on Saturday, February 5. The new conference is called Encourage. It is designed to be uplifting and informative. There will be three speakers from around the country.

Yvonne Marie, M.Ed. is a speaker, educator, and author of the book, “Kill the Busy Save the Bee: What It Really Means to Be Still and Know”. At the conference, she will encourage guests to experience the value of finding solitude, the importance of surrendering, and the significant transformation that can take place when an intentional effort is made to personally know Jesus.

Jodi Howe is a speaker, author and host of “The Air That I Breathe” podcast. She will offer hope from God’s word, practical tips that will reduce your anxiety so you can learn to live with peace and joy even when mental storms are everywhere and sometimes, unavoidable.

Doris Swift is an author, speaker, and host of the “Fierce Calling” podcast. She encourages women to walk deeper in God’s word, walk out of their doubt, shame, and fear, and walk boldly into their calling. In ministry for over 30 years, Doris loves helping women discover how God equips, empowers, and engages them to use their gifts for His glory.

Conference host, Ramona Torres, loves connecting women to lean on each other and share their God stories.

The Encourage Conference will be held on Saturday, February 5 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Tickets are $25. More details and tickets available at: https://encouragewomen2022.eventbrite.com Paid guests will receive the exclusive link to join in.
