Friends of Legal Services Book Drop-Off

The second and final Book Drop-Off Day for the 38th Annual Friends of Legal Services Book Sale will take place on this Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the MobileWorks building, 2116 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg (next to Snavely’s Garden Corner). The group accepts new and used books, plus CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games, but not encyclopedias, textbooks, or phonograph records. Receipts for tax purposes will be available on request.

Collection boxes will also be available from April 8 to 21 at various stores and offices in the area. The specific locations will be announced soon. The sale itself will take place from Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, at the Fayetteville Elementary School, 8 E. Main St. in Fayetteville. Kegerreis Outdoor Advertising and GDC IT Solutions are sponsors of the sale, having provided substantial support for it.

At its annual meeting on February 26, the group elected its 2024 officers: Sue DeVos, President; Joan Norcross, Vice-President; Amy Herrald, Treasurer; and Shirley Shaner, Secretary.
